LCA/LCIA Boards Attend Washington Fly-In
The Board of Directors for the Louisiana Chemical Association (LCA) and Louisiana Chemical Industry Alliance (LCIA) took part in a joint fly-in to Washington, D.C. for meetings with the Louisiana Congressional Delegation and others.
The meetings took place on January 23-24, 2018, to coincide with LCA’s participation in the annual Washington Mardi Gras event.
The board members in attendance had the opportunity to meet with and ask questions to both of Louisiana’s U.S. Senators, Bill Cassidy and John Kennedy. They also heard from Congressmen Garrett Graves and Clay Higgins as well as the chief of staff’s for both Cedric Richmond and Mike Johnson. Following the congressional meetings, Dan Brouillette, Deputy Secretary for the U.S. Department of Energy, had lunch with the boards and discussed upcoming energy policy and initiatives.
LCA and the Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association (LMOGA), along with their member companies, hosted a reception January 24 to kick off the Washington Mardi Gras festivities. The event was held at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel and was attended by Congressman Ralph Abraham, Graves and numerous congressional staffers.
