Gregory
Bowser, Vice President, Louisiana Chemical
Industry Alliance and Director of Governmental
Affairs for the Louisiana Chemical Association
(LCA).
As Vice President he is responsible for
the daily operations of the Louisiana Chemical
Industry Alliance Program, which is made
up of over 600 vendors and supplies that
do business with the petrochemical industry.
He is also responsible for the governmental
affairs activities of the Association, which
represents 70 petrochemical manufacturers.

Prior
to joining the LCA, Greg was Coordinator of the
Louisiana Health Care Authority (LHCA). He directed
the development and implementation of a new Governance
and Fund Recapitization Plan for state’s
Charity Hospital System. Greg was also responsible
for developing all legislation to transfer the
State Charity Hospitals to LHCA.
Before
getting involved with the LHCA, Greg served as
Press Secretary and Projects Director to Louisiana
Congressman Jimmy Hayes in Washington. In 1988
he returned to Louisiana to become Assistant Chief
of Staff for Planning and Budget for then Governor
Buddy Roemer.
Greg
is a native of Baldwin, Louisiana. He is a 1983
graduate of Louisiana State University (LSU) where
he participated in football and earned four varsity
letters. Greg currently serves on the boards of
the Baton General Health Systems, Bocage Racquet
Club and the Baton Rouge Area Sports Foundation.
His
hobbies are golf, tennis, fishing and sports broadcasting.
Greg has served as an analyst for Jefferson Pilot
Sports on their Southeastern Conference Football
Game of the Week. He also served as the football
analyst for WBRZ-TV’s “Sports Sunday”
and for LSU’s Tigervision.
Greg
is married to the former Adrienne Boutte of New
Iberia. They have two children, Gregory II and Myles.
