Manager, Public Affairs & Communications

Rob Landry is the Manager of Communications and Public Affairs for Louisiana Chemical Association and Louisiana Chemical Industry Alliance. His role with LCA and LCIA is to manage the website and social media outlets, write press releases and assist media in any questions they may have regarding the industry as well as to assist the Governmental Affairs team in lobbying efforts at the Louisiana State Capitol.
Rob is a 2011 graduate of Louisiana State University where he finished with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the Manship School of Mass Communication. While at LSU, Rob was a sports writer and columnist for the student newspaper, The Daily Reveille, and an active member in Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, where he served as Risk Manager. He also served a term on the university-wide Inter-Fraternity Council as the Treasurer.
During his time in school, Rob also worked for the Louisiana House of Representatives. During the legislative session, he worked on the front desk in the House, assisting the legislators and staff members in any clerical needs they may have during the day. During the interim months, he worked as a runner, or messenger, assisting staff in any pertinent tasks.
Rob was born in Charleston, S.C., but moved to Mandeville, La. when he just more than a year old. He grew up in Mandeville, 30 miles north of New Orleans, La., and graduated high school from St. Paul’s School in 2007. He is the only child of his parents, Robert and Terri Landry, who still reside in Mandeville. Rob is an avid sports fan, especially of his LSU Tigers and the Chicago Cubs. In his free time he still does some freelance sports writing, enjoys running and trying his hand at cooking, among other activities.
